Nepali, the national language of Nepal, is spoken by most of the Nepalese population. The Nepal Development Academy organises elementary and advanced Nepali courses in Utrecht three times a year. The courses are meant for people visiting Nepal for various reasons, e.g. holidays, development projects or voluntary work. The courses start on the first Sunday of January, May and September and consist of twelve two-hour lessons in total. The Dutch course book "Snel en effectief Nepali leren!" (Learn Nepali fast and effectively) is also recommended for advanced students. The course books can be ordered from the NDA by e-mail.

A large part of the course fees is used directly for the schooling project in Nepal. This project ensures that children from poor families can also get proper education, so that their chances for the future improve significantly.
