Nepal tourism promoted successfully in The Netherlands
Nepal is successfully promoted at the travel and trade fair held in the city of Utrecht, The Netherlands. The tourism fair (Vakantiebeurs) which was held on 11th Ė 15th January 2012 is the biggest Travel Trade Fair in Benelux region held annually in Utrecht. Nepalís participation at the Fair was organized by Nepal Tourism Board where there private tourism companies from Nepal were participating. The three participating companies are: Icefall Advetures, Nepal Traialblazer Trekking and Himalayan Rock Tour, Trekking and Expedition.
The fair was dedicated for both trade and public where more than 125000 visitors visited and enquired about their next vacation. The visitors were very much focused on Nepal as their next holiday destination. They inquired about seasonality, connectivity, accessibility and security. Nepal performed a beautiful cultural dance at the common forum organized by CBI, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Netherlands. The cultural show was jointly coordinated by NTB, NDA and NRN Netherlands represented by Ms. Sharad Baraily.
His Excellency Mr. Pramesh Kumar Hamal, The Ambassador of Nepal to the Benelux countries and Mr. Kumar Raj Kharel, Deputy Chief of Mission have visited the fair and had a discussion with the NTB officials and participating companies. They extended advises and suggestions for effectively promoting Nepal in the Benelux countries. H.E further reiterated his commitment to extend all possible support and cooperation needed from the Nepal embassy to NTB and the participating companies to jointly promote Nepal tourism in the region. Mr. Shashi Paudyal, Honorary PR-Representative of Nepal for The Netherlands also actively participated in the meeting. Mr. Paudyal extended all possible support and cooperation throughout the fair to make Nepalís participation a success.
Nepal Tourism Board was represented by Mr. Rohini Prasad Khanal, Sr. Officer and Mr. Surya Thapaliya, officer.
